A 20-year-old woman has tragically died in a government hospital in Faisalabad, sparking allegations of medical negligence.

According to her family, the woman, identified as Ushna, underwent surgery five months ago. During the procedure, doctors reportedly left a pair of scissors inside her abdomen, which led to severe complications and eventually her death. The family alleges that the metal object caused a severe infection, progressively worsening Ushna’s health over the past months.

Medical records and X-ray images have confirmed the presence of the scissors in Ushna's abdomen, adding credence to the family's claims. The surgery in question was performed on February 7th at Allied Hospital, one of the major healthcare facilities in Faisalabad.

Ushna's family reports that following the surgery, she began to experience unusual and intense pain, which they initially believed to be typical postoperative discomfort. However, as her condition deteriorated, they sought further medical advice and investigations. It was during these subsequent medical consultations that the presence of the surgical scissors was discovered.

Despite efforts to treat the ensuing infection, Ushna’s condition continued to decline, culminating in her death. Her family is now demanding a thorough investigation into the incident, seeking accountability for what they describe as a clear case of medical negligence. They argue that such a grievous error should never have occurred and that the responsible medical staff must be held accountable to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The incident has raised significant concerns about the standards of medical care and surgical procedures at Allied Hospital. Public reaction has been one of shock and outrage, with many calling for stringent measures to ensure that medical negligence is addressed promptly and effectively.
