A woman injured in the recent gas tanker explosion in Multan has given birth to twin babies.

According to sources, the injured woman, identified as Sughran Bibi, suffered burns on 10% of her body. She gave birth to the twins at Nishtar Hospital, Multan.

Hospital authorities have stated that the 35-year-old woman is in critical condition and is currently receiving treatment in the ICU. The newborn twins, a boy and a girl, are in stable condition.

Reports further reveal that Sughran Bibi already has two children, and two of her family members were also injured in the tanker explosion.

It is worth noting that the explosion, which occurred two days ago, claimed the lives of 10 people and left several others injured. Of the 26 people currently under treatment, 15 remain in critical condition.

Earlier, a woman gave birth to quintuplets in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Dr Waheed-ur-Rehman said that the woman had given birth to three sons and two daughters.

According to Dr. Waheed Rehman, the baby and mother are completely healthy.
