Ahmed Shahzad claims teammates were 'jealous of his good look’

A prominent Pakistani cricketer Ahmed Shehzad has frequently attracted attention due to his comments both on and off the field.

Although he has not been a member of Pakistan's national team in recent years, Shahzad remains engaged in domestic cricket and regularly shares his insights on platforms such as YouTube and various television programs.

Renowned for his forthright demeanor, Shahzad recently garnered media attention during his guest appearance on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, where he articulated how his physical appearance, rather than serving as an advantage, has often led to envy and criticism from his colleagues.

In a candid discussion, Shahzad disclosed that his looks have occasionally complicated his professional interactions.

He remarked, “Good looks can be a hindrance. Many of your peers may feel envious if you begin to receive more opportunities or if your fan base expands.”

Shahzad underscored that his ascent to prominence and refined image stemmed from his own dedication and hard work. “I was merely an ordinary individual who focused on self-improvement and grooming. However, instead of receiving recognition, it frequently resulted in animosity,” he noted.

This is not the first instance of Ahmad Shahzad expressing provocative views.

From allegations of favoritism towards Shahid Afridi to critiques of Babar Azam, Shahzad has consistently been outspoken in his opinions. While his unfiltered nature has garnered him a following, it has also led to tensions within the cricket community.
