Babar, Shaheen improve in latest ICC ODI rankings

Pakistan batter Babar Azam climbed one place to sixth in the latest ICC Men's ODI Player Rankings, while several other national players also improved their standings following recent international fixtures.

Babar moved up from seventh to sixth with 689 rating points. Salman Ali Agha also gained two places, rising from 18th to 16th with 630 points.

Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan retained 31st place with 560 points, while opener Fakhar Zaman slipped one position to 37th with 544 points. Saim Ayub remained 44th in the batting rankings.

New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell continued to lead the ODI batting rankings with 802 rating points, followed by India's Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli in second and third places, respectively.

Among bowlers, Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi climbed two places to seventh with 604 rating points, while Haris Rauf also rose two spots to 20th with 556 points.

Naseem Shah dropped two places to 49th, while Mohammad Wasim Jr moved up one position to 70th. Spinner Mohammad Nawaz retained 80th place.

Afghanistan's Rashid Khan remained the top-ranked ODI bowler, with Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed holding second place. England pacer Jofra Archer climbed to third, replacing South Africa's Keshav Maharaj.
