Babar Azam becomes 3rd Pakistani batter to score 1,000 runs in ICC ODI tournaments

During the Champions Trophy match against India in Dubai, Pakistan's star batter Babar Azam achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the third Pakistani to score 1,000 runs in ICC One-Day International tournaments.
He reached this landmark in his 24th innings with a stunning cover drive off Indian bowler Harshit Rana.
Prior to him, this record was held by former Pakistani cricketers Saeed Anwar and Javed Miandad.
Meanwhile, in the crucial Champions Trophy encounter, Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first against India.

The match, taking place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, saw an intense start, with Indian pacer Mohammed Shami conceding five wides in the opening over.
Pakistan suffered early setbacks as their first wicket fell at 41 runs. Babar Azam was dismissed for 23 runs off Hardik Pandya’s delivery, while Imam-ul-Haq was run out after scoring 10 runs.
