Bowler dies during PCB challenge cup match

A 24-year-old fast bowler, Aleem Khan, died after suffering a cardiac arrest during a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Challenge Cup match in Bannu on May 5.
The incident occurred during a two-day domestic fixture when Khan collapsed while bowling. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but could not be revived.
Umpire Inamullah Khan, who officiated the match, stated, "Aleem collapsed while bowling. We called for medical help and took him to the hospital, but unfortunately, he did not survive."
PCB Director of Domestic Cricket, Abdullah Khurram Niazi, expressed condolences, saying, "We are deeply saddened by Aleem’s passing. Our thoughts are with his family."
Family sources confirmed Khan, a Bannu resident, has been laid to rest.
