India defeated Pakistan by six runs in a high-voltage match of the T20I World Cup at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday night.

Pakistan started the match brilliantly as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were bowled early by Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi, respectively.

Naseem and Haris Rauf claimed three wickets each, while Mohammad Amir secured two wickets of Indian players.

Green Shirts made history as they bowled out Blue Shirts at 119 runs. Rohit-XI gave the lowest target of 120 runs to Babar's team to register a first victory in the mega event.

In response, wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan scored the highest 31 runs for team Pakistan. Except for Rizwan, Green Shirts' batters were not in a position to face Indian bowlers, losing wickets one-by-one.

However, the Pakistan team couldn't manage to chase the knee-high target and lost the match to India. Pakistan ended their innings at 113-7 in 20 overs.

Following the match, Pakistan cricket team fans lashed out at the team for continuous lackluster performance.

The fans took to microblogging site X to express their frustration, demanding Babar Azam, head of selection team Wahab Riaz, and PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi to step down from their positions.
