Hyderabad cricket fan regrets spending over Rs200,000 on travel and tickets after Pakistan’s loss

A cricket enthusiast, who traveled from Hyderabad with 23 friends, was left deeply disappointed after Pakistan’s 60-run defeat to New Zealand in their Champions Trophy opener, regretting the hefty amount he spent to watch the match at National Stadium Karachi.
The fan expressed frustration over the team’s poor performance, saying their investment in the trip felt wasted.
As Pakistan failed to chase a 321-run target, many fans, excited to witness an international tournament on home soil, voiced their frustration on social media and in interviews.

In a conversation shared by journalist @imransiddique89 on X , the disappointed fan revealed that he and his friends spent Rs36,000 on bus fare alone to travel from Hyderabad to Karachi.
He further detailed their expenses, saying, “We bought tickets for Rs4,000 and spent Rs3,000 on food. In total, we spent Rs233,700.”
Expressing his disappointment, he added, “These players are not fit for international tournaments. They are only good enough for the Pakistan Super League (PSL).”

It is pertinent to note that the ticket prices for the Pakistan vs New Zealand match at National Stadium Karachi varied, with the minimum price set at Rs1,000 for the General Enclosure and Rs1,500 for First-Class tickets.
Premium tickets were priced at Rs3,500, while VIP tickets cost Rs7,000, and VVIP spectators could buy tickets for Rs12,000. Tickets for the gallery were not available as the gallery was closed to spectators.
