"I've to find love interest first:" Sania Mirza sparks second marriage rumours

India’s former professional tennis player and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik's ex-wife, Sania Mirza, sparked marriage rumours with her recent statement on finding a love interest.

According to the Hindustan Times, the tennis star along with other sportswomen appeared in "The Great Indian Kapil Show", which is set to be aired on Netflix soon.

The promo video of the episode was shared by the streaming giant on its app.

In the video, host Kapil Sharma shared Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's wish to play a love interest of Mirza in her biopic.

"Shah Rukh Khan once said that If a biopic will be made on Sania Mirza, he will play her love interest role," the comedian said.

Mirza responded with a laugh, saying, "I have to find my love interest first."

Her remarks have sparked rumours that the athlete is set to tie the knot for the second time.

But, some social media users interpreted her comment as a humorous nod to Shah Rukh Khan's earlier statement.

However, it remains unclear whether Mirza's comment was a genuine expression of her search for love or simply a lighthearted moment on the show.

Earlier in January, Shoaib confirmed the gossips about her divorce with Mirza by sharing the news of her second marriage with actress Sana Javed.

Later, Mirza's father, Imran Mirza, revealed that her daughter took a khula, a form of divorce sought by the wife, from ex-Pakistan cricket team all-rounder.

Sources said that Mirza was unhappy with Malik's relations with other girls but she decided to "remain silent" on this matter.
