The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 has drawn attention from cricket administrators across Asia, as the ICC has invited the heads of five national boards to watch the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan match.

The board chiefs of Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan have been invited. The President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board confirmed that the invitations are extended for 15 February.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board has reportedly received over 120,000 ticket requests for the match, while the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo has a seating capacity of only 35,000.

All tickets for the India-Pakistan match have already been sold. Due to Pakistan’s earlier boycott of the fixture, many tickets had been cancelled, but these were subsequently purchased by Sri Lankan fans.

There is also concern over potential black-market sales for the high-demand match.

The clash between Pakistan and India is scheduled for 15 February in Colombo.
