ICC Men’s T20 World Cup: Pakistan set 191-run target for USA

Colombo: Pakistan have set the United States a target of 191 runs to win in their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match.
Playing at Colombo, the USA won the toss and opted to field first, inviting Pakistan to bat.
Pakistan posted 190 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs, with Sahibzada Farhan top-scoring with 73 runs.
For the match against the USA, Pakistan made one change to the playing XI, bringing in Usman Tariq in place of Salman Mirza.
Pakistan’s playing XI includes Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Babar Azam, Salman Ali Agha, Usman Khan, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Afridi, Usman Tariq and Abrar Ahmed.
Pakistan got off to a solid start as Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan added 54 runs for the opening partnership.
However, Saim Ayub was dismissed for 19 runs with the team total on 54. Soon after, captain Salman Ali Agha returned to the pavilion after scoring just one run.
Farhan then shared an entertaining partnership with Babar Azam, playing some elegant shots along the way. Farhan completed his half-century before Babar was dismissed for 46 runs off 32 balls.
Sahibzada Farhan’s innings came to an end at 73, while Shadab Khan provided late momentum with a quickfire 30 off 12 deliveries.
Pakistan finished on 190/9 in 20 overs. For the USA, Shedley van Schalkwyk was the standout bowler, claiming four wickets.
It is worth noting that Pakistan defeated the Netherlands by three wickets in a thrilling contest in their opening match, while the USA suffered a defeat against India.
