The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, with several changes from the previous ODI series against South Africa.

Imam-ul-Haq, who had been hoping for a recall after his impressive performance in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2024-25, was left out of the squad.

The left-handed opener expressed his disappointment on social media, stating that he had not expected the outcome but would continue to work hard.

The squad, led by wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, includes four changes from the previous series. Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Muhammad Irfan Khan, and Sufiyan Muqeem have been replaced by Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Khushdil Shah, and Saud Shakeel.

The squad will also participate in a tri-nation ODI series against New Zealand and South Africa in the build-up to the Champions Trophy.
