The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that India will fully comply with the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) uniform regulations for the 2025 Champions Trophy, dismissing rumors about objections to including Pakistan's name on their kits.

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia reassured that the board would follow all uniform-related rules as outlined by the ICC. "We will follow every uniform-related ICC rule during the Champions Trophy," Saikia stated, according to PTI. "Whatever the other teams do regarding the logo and dress code, we are going to follow in true letter and spirit."

As per the ICC’s guidelines, all participating teams must display the tournament’s official logo, along with the name of the host nation. Pakistan is the primary host for the 2025 edition, although India’s matches will be held in Dubai, UAE, due to security concerns that led to the BCCI opting for a neutral venue under the hybrid model approved by the ICC.

Regarding the participation of Indian captain Rohit Sharma in the opening ceremony in Pakistan, Saikia mentioned that no decision has been made yet about whether Sharma will travel for the event. “Whether Rohit Sharma travels to Pakistan for ICC media engagements is something that’s still undecided,” he explained.

This statement from the BCCI comes amid ongoing discussions about India’s involvement in the Champions Trophy, with logistics and security concerns continuing to shape the team’s participation.
