Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi said on Monday that he would quit after fixing Pakistan cricket.

While addressing a press conference in Lahore the PCB chairman said cricket has been in a poor state for the past three years۔

The PCB Chairman, addressing the criticism of the recent defeat against Bangladesh, acknowledged that the team’s performance was extremely disappointing. He also mentioned that he has requested a report on the pitch, which is expected to be available by tomorrow or the day after.

On Sunday, Mohsin Naqvi, lauded the Bangladeshi side for their exceptional game, acknowledging this momentous win. “Bangladesh played their best game,” Naqvi said. He also extended his “heartiest congratulations” to the Bangladesh team, recognising their hard-earned victory.

Naqvi is facing criticism over the recent performance of the Pakistan cricket team. Pakistan faced a 10-wicket defeat from Bangladesh in Rawalpindi Test on Sunday.

Following the game, PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi expressed dismay over the dismal outing of Pakistan in the first Test in Rawalpindi.

However, he hoped that the national team would make a comeback in the upcoming match.

“Unfortunately, Pakistan Cricket Team could not perform as well as it should have. InshaAllah the men in green would make a comeback in the upcoming match,” he wrote in a post on X.
