Thanks to Saim Ayub's elegant stroke play and the disciplined efforts of the Pakistani bowlers, the Green Shirts became the first team in the world to sweep South Africa in an ODI series, clinching the three-match series 3-0 with a dominant all-round performance.

Emerging star Saim Ayub proved instrumental in the team's success, cementing his status as a key player with a stellar display of batting prowess.

In the final match, played in Johannesburg, Pakistan batted first and posted a formidable total of 309 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in a rain-affected contest reduced to 47 overs per side.

Saim Ayub delivered yet another masterclass, scoring his second century of the series with an impressive knock of 101 runs, laced with 13 fours and two sixes.

His innings provided a solid platform, further bolstered by captain Babar Azam’s and Mohammad Rizwan’s crucial half-centuries.

Later, fireworks came from Tayyab Tahir and Salman Ali Agha, who added 74 runs in a vital partnership to propel Pakistan past the 300-run mark.

In reply, South Africa fell short, managing only 271 runs before being bowled out.

Henrik Klaasen fought valiantly with a knock of 81 runs but couldn't steer his side to victory.

Pakistan’s bowlers once again stepped up, with Sufiyan Muqeem leading the charge by claiming four wickets. Shaheen Afridi delivered a critical blow by dismissing Klaasen at a pivotal moment, while Naseem Shah also impressed, taking two wickets alongside Shaheen.

Mohammad Hasnain and Saim Ayub chipped in with a wicket apiece.
