Pakistan staged a remarkable comeback, defeating Australia by 9 wickets at the Adelaide Oval on Friday and leveling the three-match ODI series 1-1. The impressive win was fueled by strong bowling display and impressive batting performance.

The Green Shirts opened their innings with Abdullah Shafiq and Saim Ayub.

The only wicket to fall was that of Saim Ayub, who departed after a brilliant 82 runs off 69 balls, including six sixes and five fours. Pakistan reached the target with ease, losing only one wicket at the score of 137.

Following Saim’s departure, Abdullah Shafiq and Babar Azam guided Pakistan to victory. Shafiq scored a steady 64, while Babar remained unbeaten on 15.

Adam Zampa took the lone wicket for Australia, conceding 44 runs in the process.

Earlier, Australia’s innings opened with Jack Fraser-McGeorge and Matthew Short at the Adelaide Oval Stadium, but both were dismissed early by Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Josh Inglis became the third Australian player dismissed, scoring 18 runs before falling to Haris Rauf.

Mohammad Hasnain caught Steve Smith behind the stumps for 35, and Haris also claimed the wickets of Aaron Hardie and Glenn Maxwell. Naseem Shah bowled Mitchell Starc, while Australian captain Pat Cummins was taken down as Haris Rauf's fifth wicket.

After winning the toss, Rizwan confirmed that Pakistan retained the same lineup from the first ODI with no changes in the playing XI.

Australian captain Pat Cummins commented that they would have also opted to bowl first if they had won the toss and confirmed that Australia had retained the same lineup that secured victory in the first ODI.

In the first match of the ODI series, Australia triumphed over Pakistan by two wickets in a closely contested game.
