"It has started raining heavily in Lauderhill (Florida) at mid night. Strong winds blowing. Minor flooding caused around Lauderhill due to rain," his post read.

The city was flooded by Wednesday and Thursday's heavy downpour and more rain is likely in the city today.

The match between the USA and Ireland will start at 10:30am local time (7:30pm Pakistan Standard Time).

Pakistan's chances to qualify for the next round in the mega event depend on today's match.

  • If the US beat Ireland today, they will advance to the Super 8 round and Pakistan's dream of playing the final of the tournament will be shattered.

Currently, the Men in Green stand at third position with two points. The USA are on the second position with four points and a better net run rate than Pakistan.

In another scenario, If rain plays spoilsport during today's match, both teams will get one point each and the USA will qualify for the Super 8 stage.

Pakistan's only chance to survive in the short-format tournament will emerge if Ireland defeat the US in today's match.

But only Ireland's win will not ease conditions for Pakistan. the Green Shirts also have to win their next match against Ireland to make their space in the Super 8 round.
