Pakistan's squash stars shine at Scottish Junior Open with four titles

In a remarkable display of talent, Pakistani players excelled at the Scottish Junior Open Squash Tournament, clinching titles in four categories and showcasing the country’s growing prominence in the sport.
The event, held in Edinburgh, also saw Pakistani athletes securing third positions in three other age categories.
Pakistan emerged victorious in the Boys Under-13, Boys Under-15, Boys Under-17, and Girls Under-13 categories.
In the Boys Under-13 final, Pakistan’s Sohail Adnan delivered a flawless performance, defeating Spain’s Etzel Reguero Garcia in straight sets with scores of 11-3, 11-5, and 11-6.
The Boys Under-15 final was a thrilling encounter, with Huzaifa Shahid edging out Singapore’s Rehan Singh in a hard-fought 2-3 victory. Huzaifa triumphed in a five-game contest, with scores of 11-6, 11-6, 8-11, 11-13, and 11-7.
In the Boys Under-17 category, Azan Khan secured Pakistan’s first gold medal by defeating Switzerland’s Leandro Vogel in a commanding 11-9, 11-2, 9-11, 11-6 victory.
Meanwhile, in the Girls Under-13 category, Mahnoor Ali exhibited an outstanding performance, overcoming India’s Diwanshi Jain to claim the title with scores of 11-5, 11-5, and 11-7.
Pakistani players also excelled in other categories, achieving impressive results:
In the Boys Under-13 category, Sakhi Khan Tareen secured third position with a walkover after New Zealand’s Freddie Jameson failed to compete.
In the Girls Under-15 category, Sehrish Ali defeated England’s Karen Mills in four games with scores of 11-6, 11-5, 9-11, and 11-5, maintaining a dominant performance throughout.
In the Girls Under-17 category, Mehwish Ali displayed resilience by recovering from an initial setback to secure third position with a 4-11, 11-5, 12-10, 11-4 victory.
