Pakistani martial artist Arshad Mehsood, who drives a rickshaw to make ends meet for his family in South Waziristan, has shattered India's Guinness World Record for most 'full contact elbow strikes' in one minute.
The record was previously held by an Indian athlete Chenmay Sharma.
Mehsood achieved an astonishing 373 elbow strikes in just one minute, surpassing Sharma's record of 334.
Talking to Geo News, Mehsood shared that he is the sole bread earner of his family after the death of his father.
By day, Arshad navigates the streets as a rickshaw driver, but by night, he transforms into a martial arts champion.
"I visit the fight club every day to pursue my passion for martial arts," he said in an interview.
The Pakistani star expressed his joy at breaking India's record, saying, "I am thrilled to have achieved this feat."
Mehsood's success is credited to his training under renowned Presidential Award winner and Guinness World Record holder Irfan Mehsood.
As a student of Irfan, Arshad joins an impressive lineup of over 20 students who have achieved Guinness World Records.
Irfan Mehsood's guidance has clearly paid off as Arshad's record-breaking achievement brings pride to Pakistan.
With this remarkable feat, Arshad has not only broken a record but also inspired countless others to pursue their passions, regardless of their background or circumstances.
