The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to proceed with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10th edition matches as per schedule despite escalating tensions with India and continuous drone attacks on Pakistan.

A meeting chaired by PCB Chairman and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Rawalpindi unanimously took the decision regarding the continuation of the event.

The 27th match of the tournament, set to be played between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi in Rawalpindi on Thursday, was cancelled and will be rescheduled in Karachi; however, the date has not been decided yet.

Meanwhile, the remaining matches will be played in Karachi, with the option to shift to Dubai or Doha being considered if necessary.

The emergency meeting, attended by all franchise owners and officials from law enforcement agencies, aimed to ensure the safety of players, staff, and fans during the matches.

During the meeting, growing security concerns amidst escalating tensions between the two countries were discussed, and it was decided to relocate the remaining matches to Karachi, deeming it the safest option.

Notably, the PCB's decision comes during preparations for a T20I home series against Bangladesh, with the board attempting to avoid any impact of the situation on the international matches.
