Former Test cricketer Basit Ali has proposed that the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10 be held in Bangladesh instead of Dubai.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Basit Ali stated that Bangladesh is a friendly country with a strong cricket following, and hosting the PSL there could draw large crowds.
“Bangladesh is our brotherly nation, and their stadiums see good attendance. If the PCB moves the league there, watch how it will be applauded,” he remarked.
The suggestion comes after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) suspended PSL 10 indefinitely due to escalating tensions with India.
However, sources said that PSL management recently advised franchises to retain foreign players in Dubai and instructed local players to stay mentally prepared.
Franchises were also informed that they might be called to assemble in Islamabad, depending on the situation.
