PTV stops live transmission after 'Release Imran Khan' poster appears during ASHC final

After 13 years, Pakistan hockey team are locking horns with a tough opponent Japan in the final match of Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2024 on Saturday.

Green Shirts have performed extraordinarily during the entire event with three wins and two ties out of five matches.

Pakistan have secured second place on the table with 11 points in the mega tournament being played in Malaysia.

However, the event witnessed an unexpected thing when a spectator raised a poster bearing the words "Release Imran Khan" with the former prime minister's picture.

The match was being broadcast live on Pakistan Television (PTV), which captured the moment.

However, the live transmission was stopped by the national broadcaster when Imran Khan's picture appeared on the screen.

The PTI founder is currently incarcerated at Adiala jail on several charges, including cipher and Iddat cases.

On the other hand, PTI supporters won't spare any chance to raise voices for the release of their leader.
