Quetta Gladiators appoint Sarfaraz Ahmed as team director

Quetta Gladiators have appointed former Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed as their team director, the franchise announced.

The announcement was made by team owner Nadeem Umar, marking a transition in Sarfaraz’s role from an on-field player to a leadership position within the team.

Sarfaraz has been a key figure for Quetta Gladiators since the inception of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and led the franchise to its only PSL title in 2019.

"I am pleased to announce the appointment of Sarfaraz Ahmed as the team director of Quetta Gladiators," said Nadeem Umar. "His experience and leadership will be invaluable to the franchise."

He also highlighted the strong combination of Sarfaraz as team director and former Pakistan captain Moin Khan as head coach, expressing optimism for future PSL seasons.
