Standing behind the stumps in the second ODI against Australia, Skipper Muhammad Rizwan decimated the opponent's batting line-up by taking a record-breaking six catches, the most by a wicketkeeper in a single ODI match.

His incredible catching performance put him alongside cricket legends like Adam Gilchrist, Mark Boucher, Alec Stewart, Matt Prior, Jos Buttler, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Quinton de Kock, and Matthew Cross, who have also achieved the feat of taking six catches in a single ODI.

However, Rizwan had a chance to mark history with a record of seven catches if he did not miss a bowl that touched Adam Zampa and went behind stumps.

Since taking over as captain, Pakistan has played two ODIs against Australia. In the first match, Australia successfully chased down a target of 204 runs in 34 overs, losing eight wickets.

In the 2nd ODI, Pakistan staged a remarkable comeback, defeating Australia by 9 wickets at the Adelaide Oval on Friday and leveling the three-match ODI series 1-1. The impressive win was fueled by strong bowling display and impressive batting performance.

When it came to bowling, Harif Rauf's overs created chaos in the batting line of Aussies, wrapping up five batters’ innings in a total of eight overs, allowing them to score 29 runs on his deliveries.

He picked up crucial wickets like Josh Inglis, Marnus Labuschagne, Aaron Hardie, Glenn Maxwell, and Pat Cummins.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Hasnain, and Naseem Shah also marked their presence by taking one wick each and concluded Australia’s inning with 163 runs in 35 overs.
