Pakistan's opening batter, Saim Ayub, has been ruled out of the second Test against South Africa due to an ankle injury.
According to the team management, Ayub will not participate in the ongoing Test match in Cape Town.
The injury occurred on the first day of the match during fielding, when Ayub twisted his ankle. He was immediately taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Reports on Saim Ayub’s condition have been sent to British specialists for further consultation.
The decision regarding his treatment and potential return to action will be made in consultation with the British doctors.
Earlier, Pakistan suffered a seious blow during the second Test against South Africa in Cape Town when star batter Saim Ayub sustained an injury.

The incident occurred when Ayub twisted his ankle while fielding. He was visibly in pain and unable to put weight on his right ankle. The extent of the injury is still unclear, but he was taken to the hospital for treatment.
It was the seventh over of the first day of the second Test match when Ayub chased a ball edged by Ryan Rickelton, lost his balance, and twisted his ankle. He was visibly in agony and had to be taken off the field.
The physio rushed to him, and after prolonged treatment outside the boundary line, he was unable to recover. He was taken to the hospital via stretcher.
