130-year-old Algerian woman reaches Makkah to perform Hajj

A 130-year-old woman from Algeria, Sarahouda Stiti, has arrived in Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage, setting a record as the oldest pilgrim to visit the Kingdom this year.
She was warmly received by Saudi authorities at Jeddah Airport, who praised her determination and strength.
The elderly woman expressed her gratitude to Allah for the opportunity to perform the sacred pilgrimage and thanked the Saudi leadership and people for their hospitality.
"I am grateful to Allah for choosing me to perform Hajj and for allowing me to come to my second home," she said.
According to Saudi media, Sarahouda Stiti is the oldest pilgrim of 2024.
The Saudi government has made extensive arrangements to ensure the convenience and comfort of pilgrims, including welcoming 1,750 royal guests from 75 countries and 3,322 pilgrims from 88 countries on special invitation.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques program has also welcomed 1,000 family members of martyred and injured from Palestine.
