A social media activist and YouTuber from Haryana, Jyoti Malhotra — recently arrested on charges of spying for Pakistan — has been revealed to have affiliations with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), further fueling suspicions of another "false flag" operation by the Modi government.
According to sources, Malhotra was detained on May 17 for allegedly maintaining contact with Pakistani intelligence agencies and transmitting sensitive information.
However, subsequent disclosures indicate that she has been an active member of the BJP and has attended several party events.
Sources within the Border Security Force (BSF) claim that when she was spotted engaging in suspicious activity near the border and questioned, she identified herself as being associated with "BJP Haryana." Reportedly, the BSF officer allowed her to leave without further interrogation, stating, "BJP is all we need."

On social media, users have widely criticized her arrest, calling it yet another failed attempt by the Modi administration to malign Pakistan.
Many highlighted that Jyoti Malhotra’s Instagram posts and video blogs clearly reflect her association with the BJP, casting serious doubts on the legitimacy of the spying charges.
Defense analysts argue that the BSF’s negligence, inconsistencies in the investigation, and potential bias toward protecting BJP interests have only deepened suspicions surrounding the entire episode.
