In a heart-wrenching video, a Palestinian man was seen crying uncontrollably and calling out for his deceased mother outside a morgue in Gaza after she was killed in an Israeli airstrike.
The video showed the grieving man peeking through the closed gate of the morgue, weeping, and repeatedly calling his mother in a trembling voice, a harrowing depiction of the intense trauma Palestinians are enduring amid the relentless killings of their loved ones in the ongoing genocide by Israel in Gaza.
Clutching the handles of the morgue’s gate, the man broke down, as he struggled to cope with the loss of his mother.
Meanwhile, talks between Israeli officials and Hamas representatives resumed in Qatar. However, Tel Aviv’s history of withdrawing from negotiations on flimsy grounds continues to cast doubt on the peace efforts.
The ongoing Israeli airstrikes on Gaza’s hospitals have shocked the world, intensifying calls for medical facilities to be designated as off-limits during military offensives.
Despite these international demands, Israel has consistently ignored such appeals over the past year.
In a related development, reports emerged about the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital being subjected to severe torture in an Israeli detention camp. Calls for his release have grown louder worldwide, but Israeli officials have yet to provide any update on his condition.
The overall Palestinian death toll since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza has reached at least 45,658 with more than 108,583 wounded. Thousands more remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
