Hamas hands over another hostage’s body to Israel

The Palestinian resistance group Hamas has handed over the body of another Israeli hostage to the Red Cross in Gaza, which later transferred it to the Israeli military.

According to the Israeli army, the body has been moved under police supervision to Abu Kabir Forensic Institute in Tel Aviv, where the identification process may take up to two days.

Reports indicate that Hamas has so far returned the bodies of 13 hostages to Israel. Israeli authorities claim that the group still holds the remains of 15 others, urging Hamas to hand them over without delay.

Recent foreign media reports suggested that several hostages who died in Hamas captivity were likely killed during Israel’s heavy bombardment of Gaza.

Since the so-called ceasefire began, at least 97 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza. The truce had been brokered under a peace plan led by US President Donald Trump, aiming to halt the ongoing genocide and begin Gaza’s reconstruction.
