An elderly woman passed away after suffering a heart attack during a ride on Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion, a rare incident at the popular theme park. The 60-year-old woman was immediately attended to by Disneyland security personnel and later transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Disneyland influencer Matt Desmond shared that the woman was found unconscious as the ride ended. Rescue teams were called, and on-site security performed CPR before she was rushed to Orange County Hospital.
Anaheim Police Sgt. Matt Sutter confirmed that the ride was functioning normally and resumed operations after the woman was removed.
“This appears to be an unfortunate medical episode, and our thoughts go out to the family,” Sutter said.
As per reports, the Haunted Mansion is a slow-moving attraction, unlikely to cause medical issues for guests.
Disneyland maintains a strict inspection schedule, with rides undergoing weekly and monthly checks to ensure safe and proper operation.
The Haunted Mansion remains one of Disneyland’s most popular rides, featuring eerie figures, spooky effects, and haunting music as visitors journey through the attraction.
