Hindu extremist groups disrupted Christmas celebrations at various locations in India, with some attacking and vandalising schools for observing the Christian religious occasion.
Incidents of anti-Christian hate were reported in Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, where extremists linked to the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal harassed people for celebrating Christmas.

In Jaisalmer and Jodhpur, members of Hindu extremist groups accused school administrators of promoting religious conversions by celebrating a Christian event.
In Kerala, supporters of the VHP and Bajrang Dal stormed a school, verbally abusing teachers for allegedly not giving enough importance to Hindu traditions.
Controversy also arose over a Hindu idol dressed in a Christmas outfit, with extremists labeling it an attack on their faith.
In Jodhpur, Rajasthan, miscreants vandalised a school and set fire to posters featuring Christmas celebrations.
A widely shared video on social media showed a Zomato food delivery rider being forced by vigilantes to remove his Santa Claus costume.
The incidents have sparked outrage on social media, with many condemning the attacks and calling for action against the perpetrators.
