India has rejected US President Donald Trump's claims about playing a crucial role in mediating a ceasefire with Pakistan on May 10, stating that the engagement was “strictly bilateral” and asserting that Trump had no involvement in the process between the two countries.
In a weekly briefing addressing local media, Foreign Office Secretary Vikram Misri refuted claims regarding Pakistan's intentions of using its nuclear capabilities during the recent conflict.
He stated that the war between the two atomic powers remained within conventional boundaries and that there were no indications from Pakistan suggesting a nuclear war.

Despite repeated inquiries from a parliamentary committee about how many Indian aircraft were destroyed during the war with Pakistan, Vikram Misri declined to respond to the query, citing national security concerns.
Earlier on Monday, Pakistan dismissed claims made by Indian media regarding the use of Shaheen missiles.
The Foreign Office spokesperson described the Indian media's allegations about the Shaheen missile as baseless and fabricated.
They noted that the Indian Army removed a video after the claim was proven false; however, the media continued to propagate a misleading narrative. The Indian Army has not issued any explanation or denial regarding the video.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson in Pakistan, this campaign by the Indian media is an attempt to obscure India’s failures in Operation Sindoor. They connected India’s misinformation to an overall narrative of falsehood regarding the ceasefire and nuclear intimidation.
The spokesperson highlighted that the ISPR press release from May 12 includes details of the weapons Pakistan used, specifically pointing to the Fateh F-1 and F-2 missiles, modern drones, and long-range guns.
