Following the failure in the aerial war, the India's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh warned that his country would use naval power if Pakistan did anything “evil” and “unethical”.
The statement came after an air conflict for four days between two nuclear-armed neighbours, leaving six Indian warplanes crashed, including three advanced Rafales.
Subsequently, both countries signed a ceasefire agreement but were unable to restore ties and warned each other other with severe consequences for any future aggression.

"If Pakistan resorts to anything evil or unethical, it will, this time, face the firepower and ire of the Indian Navy," Reuters quoted Defence Minister Rajnath Singh as saying on the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant off the coast of the western Indian state of Goa.
Fresh hostilities erupted following an April 22 attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) that left 26 people dead, most of them Indian tourists.
The region, a long-disputed Himalayan territory claimed by both India and Pakistan, has once again become a flashpoint. New Delhi blamed Pakistan-backed militants for the assault, a claim Islamabad had firmly denied.
A ceasefire was implemented on May 10, and on Friday, a senior Pakistani military official said that both countries were nearing an agreement to scale back their troop deployments along the border to pre-conflict levels.

The Indian Navy reported that it had mobilised its carrier battle group, submarines, and other aerial assets to the northern Arabian Sea within 96 hours of the April 22 attack.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that Operation Sindoor, which involved India's strikes on Pakistan, had been paused but not concluded.
“We halted our military actions on our terms,” he said. “Our forces had not yet fully demonstrated their strength.”
