Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has reiterated that the country neither requires nuclear weapons nor intends to develop them.
However, he stressed that Tehran will not bow to external pressure over its uranium enrichment program.
In a recent statement, Ayatollah Khamenei declared that talks with the United States have ended, adding that under the current circumstances, negotiations would not safeguard Iran’s interests and could prove detrimental to the nation.
He further noted that Washington seeks to restrict Iran’s possession of mid-range and other missile capabilities, but engaging in dialogue under such threats would be tantamount to surrendering to pressure.
“No honorable nation succumbs to coercion,” he emphasized.

The Supreme Leader also warned that potential attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities would not halt uranium enrichment.
He pointed out that the country has “dozens, or perhaps hundreds, of experts in uranium enrichment” who ensure continuity in the program.
