All detained members of the Global Sumud Flotilla have been released from Israeli custody, according to confirmation from Israeli authorities.
Adalah, a Palestinian rights organisation based in the United States, stated that the aid workers are now being deported from Israel.
Meanwhile, Türkiye’s Foreign Minister said the humanitarian activists are being transferred to Türkiye.
Reports claim that members of the flotilla were subjected to severe physical and psychological abuse while in Israeli detention.
Allegations include the use of taser guns and rubber bullets, while several female participants reportedly had their hijabs forcibly removed by Israeli personnel.
Separately, far-right Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir shared a video allegedly showing the detained aid workers kneeling on the ground during their custody.
More than 400 members of the Gaza-bound humanitarian convoy, including Pakistan’s Saad Edhi, had reportedly been taken into what was described as illegal detention by Israeli forces.
The incident prompted condemnation statements from Pakistan and several other countries.
