Israeli forces arrested a man during a raid on Tarqumiya Municipality in the occupied West Bank for naming his son after Palestinian resistance leader Yahya Sinwar.
A video circulating on social media showed armed Israeli personnel forcibly detaining the man from his office.
According to reports, the detained individual had recently named his newborn son after Yahya Sinwar, a senior Hamas leader.
It is important to note that the Israeli army has intensified its raids in the West Bank following the ceasefire in Gaza in January.
Meanwhile, Israeli settlers continue their violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, torching cars and attacking businesses.

According to The Associated Press (AP), Israeli forces have also increased checkpoints at multiple locations, restricting the movement of Palestinians at several crossings during certain hours.
The UN humanitarian agency (OCHA) reported that Israel has established 249 additional checkpoints in the West Bank since the start of its war on Gaza, bringing the total to 793 checkpoints.
These measures have severely disrupted the daily lives of Palestinians, who continue to face restrictions and violence without justification.
Israeli forces also launched offensives in refugee camps in Jenin, Tulkarem, and Tubas, killing more than 30 Palestinians.

At the same time, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) continue to violate the ceasefire in Gaza, killing at least three more Palestinians. This brings the total death toll from Israel’s war on Gaza since October 27, 2023, to 61,709.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that the stalemate over extending the ceasefire in Gaza has eased after Hamas agreed to continue the truce and release Israeli hostages.
This development follows mediation efforts by Qatar and Egypt during negotiations with Hamas in Cairo.
