In the occupied West Bank, Israeli settlers set fire to a mosque, while occupation forces arrested 25 Palestinians during raids in various areas, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

The incident occurred near the city of Salfit in the West Bank, where Israeli settlers attempted to set the mosque’s entrance on fire by spraying flammable materials.

The report stated that the settlers also scrawled racist slogans on the mosque’s walls. However, local residents managed to extinguish the fire in time.

When an AP reporter visited on Thursday, they observed that one wall, several carpets, and at least three copies of the Quran at the mosque in the Palestinian town of Deir Istiya had been set on fire.

On one side of the mosque, settlers had left graffitied messages such as “We are not afraid,” “We will take revenge,” and “Keep on condemning.”

Meanwhile, the Israeli army carried out raids across several parts of the West Bank, detaining 25 Palestinian civilians. According to the report, three young men were arrested from their homes during raids in Deir al-Ghusun, near Tulkarm.

Eighteen people were taken into custody in the Dura area near Hebron, while in southern Hebron, several residents, including elderly individuals, were subjected to field interrogations. Additionally, four more people were arrested from the Beita and Qaryut areas, south of Nablus.

According to Palestinian authorities, Israeli forces continue to carry out raids and arrests on an almost daily basis, actions that the international community has condemned as violations of human rights.
