Illegal Israeli settlers poisoned dozens of livestock belonging to a Palestinian family in the occupied West Bank after failing to steal them.

The incident took place in Jericho city, where several sheep and cows were found dead in a livestock shelter. Local Palestinians have accused Israeli settlers of killing the animals.

This is the latest in a series of transgressions by settlers, as the UN has recorded 1,350 violent attacks by settlers, which are routinely ignored by local Israeli authorities.

Numerous violent incidents involving Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank have been reported, with occupation forces often failing to intervene or standing by as Palestinians are attacked.

The Israeli army has intensified its offensive in the West Bank, raiding the cities of Tulkarem and Tubas, destroying Palestinian businesses, shops, and infrastructure while detaining numerous local individuals.

Earlier, Netanyahu appeared on a TV show where he showed a map to outline his strategy to continue the military assault on the Gaza Strip to prevent Hamas fighters from using tunnels.

However, the map did not show the West Bank; instead, it presented the territory as integrated into Israel, sparking outrage over Israeli war designs.

The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) highlighted in a press release on July 21 an increase of nearly 250% in the deaths of Palestinian children during Israeli military operations across various cities of the West Bank.

UNICEF also reported that the Israeli army's aggressive measures and severe restrictions on movement are severely impacting "the physical and mental well-being of thousands of children and families."

Before the current military escalation, the UN agency noted that the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem had already been experiencing the "highest levels of violence in 20 years," resulting in the deaths of 41 Palestinian children and 6 Israeli children in 2023.
