The worldwide Jewish population has increased by 100,000 to reach 10.58 million over the past year, according to research conducted by a professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Research noted that Israel continues to be home to the largest number of Jews globally, with 7.3 million individuals.
The United States follows Israel as the country with the second-largest Jewish population, with approximately 6.3 million Jews residing within its borders.
This number is 1 million less than the Jewish population in Israel.
Other countries with Jewish populations include France, with 438,500 individuals, and Canada, with 400,000.
The United Kingdom ranks fifth, hosting 313,000 Jews. Additional countries with notable Jewish populations are Argentina, with 170,000; Germany, with 125,000; Russia, with 123,000; Australia, with 117,000; Brazil, with 90,300; and South Africa, with 49,500.
Hungary has 45,000 Jews, Mexico has 41,000, and the Netherlands has 35,000, as of September 2024.
The study's methodology counted individuals who self-identify as Jewish or have at least one Jewish parent and do not practice any other religion.
