Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has offered 91% discounts to the country's reserve army on occupied Palestinian lands in the Negev and Galilee to strengthen illegal settlements in those areas.
These areas were historically inhabited by Arabs until Jewish communities began settling there in 1922, and Israel eventually occupied the entire area in 1946.
In a recent post on X, Netanyahu announced that his government would offer “unprecedented discounts” on land in the Negev and Galilee to reservists.
“For example: a lot that was worth 700,000 NIS before the discount will now cost only 72,800 NIS for eligible reservists,” his post read.
“This is great news for our reserve soldiers, the defenders of the country, who contribute greatly to its security. We want to make it easier for them and their families to settle in the Negev and the Galilee and strengthen the settlements in these areas,” he added.

כעת, זכאים חיילי מילואים להנחה… pic.twitter.com/twlh8il9HA
Last week, a real estate event was held in a Los Angeles synagogue where occupied lands in the West Bank were being auctioned.
Pro-Palestinian protesters demonstrated outside the event in huge numbers and clashed with the police.
Israel has continued to forcefully evict Palestinians from their lands, destroying their homes, businesses, crops and establishing illegal settlements on the occupied territories.
In its latest report, a UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry (COI) on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, stated that Israel has forcibly displaced at least 1.7 million Palestinians and highlighted the extensive fatalities and destruction caused by Israeli actions.
The report noted that Israeli forces deliberately targeted civilians and damaged property to exert pressure on Hamas fighters.
The Commission also quoted the Israeli Defense Minister, who justified the siege as a form of retaliation, stating, “We are fighting human animals, and we act accordingly.”
