Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei delivered a rare sermon in Tehran on Friday, addressing thousands of worshippers gathered in the capital.
The event marked his first public address since Iran's missile attack on Israel and the latter's strikes on Hezbollah leaders in Lebanon.
The stage featured photographs of Khamenei alongside slain Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, while supporters waved Hezbollah and Palestinian flags.
"The policies adopted by our enemy are to sow the seeds of division and sedition, to drive a wedge among all the Muslims," Khamenei declared.
"They are the same enemies to the Palestinians, Lebanese, Egyptians, and the Iraqis. They are the enemy to the Yemeni and Syrian people.
“Our enemy is one.”
In his speech, Khamenei reaffirmed Iran's commitment to confronting Israel.
"We won't procrastinate or rush to carry out our duty."
He defended Palestine and expressed solidarity with the people, who "have a lawful right to defend themselves against those criminals - the occupation forces."
"There is not a single court or international organisation that can blame the Palestinian people for simply defending their homeland,” said Khamenei.
The Supreme Leader said that every country has the right to defend itself against aggressors, urging Muslim nations to prepare their "defence against the common enemy."
In a show of support for Hamas and Iran's military actions, Khamenei labeled the October 7 attack on southern Israel and Iran's recent ballistic missile strike as "legal and legitimate."
"Each and every country, each and every people have the ultimate right to defend themselves against the ultimate tyranny," he proclaimed to the cheering crowd.
