A Palestinian boy documented his life in Gaza before and after the Israeli genocide that began on October 7, showing a stark contrast from peaceful mornings to waking up in a tent amid ruins.

In Gaza, Palestinians are connected to the world primarily through social media, as the enclave remains under siege by the Israeli occupation army.

To share their stories and experiences, they rely on recording and posting photos and videos online.

A viral video captured by a Palestinian boy illustrated the drastic changes in Gaza after Israel's military offensive, which has displaced 1.7 million people now living in makeshift camps surrounded by debris and filth.

Palestinians are constantly sharing videos that depict how their families, homes, and businesses have been devastated by Israeli attacks.

While life in Gaza was already fraught with stress under Israeli occupation, the recent ground and aerial invasions have caused unprecedented bloodshed and destruction.

Latest satellite images shared by Al Jazeera reveal that more than 60 percent of Gaza's farmland has been left in ruins due to Israeli airstrikes, crippling the vital food supply for many.

According to the UN, “More than 495,000 people across the besieged Palestinian territory are facing catastrophic food insecurity.”

“Overall, about 96 percent of the population will continue to face high levels of acute food insecurity until September,” it added.

The Israeli genocide has resulted in the deaths of at least 37,900 innocent civilians, leaving thousands injured and many still trapped under rubble, while others remain in captivity.

Israel’s relentless military offensive has left no place of refuge from north to south, as Rafah has been decimated, and continued airstrikes on refugee camps have killed and burned alive many, including children and newborns.

Despite repeated efforts for a ceasefire, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected a permanent end to the military assault on the coastal enclave.
