A Palestinian girl died of heart failure after being terrified by the sound of Israeli bombardment in Gaza. The little girl fainted in her mother's arms.

“It was a very difficult night for the camp,” said the mother of Nada Ismail Kabaja, who died on August 26 amid an Israeli military offensive in Gaza.

She recounted that the Israeli army relentlessly bombarded the area surrounding the camp, “shaking our home and all of us while our children were asleep.”

The mother said her daughter "suddenly woke up to the sounds of the bombing and she lost consciousness in my arms."

"I ran out of the room in a state of extreme panic and called for my family in the house. Iran out of my panic for her I forgot everything and ran into the street with her,” she explained.

The girl’s father recalled that when they arrived at the hospital, “the doctor took her from us, and I ran with them.”

“The scene was indescribable. They immediately told me she had arrived dead; it seems she had a heart attack,” the grief-stricken father added.

The Israeli offensive in Gaza has taken a devastating toll on children's lives, with many being killed in airstrikes, suffering injuries and amputations, and grappling with disease and hunger.

A report by Save the Children from Gaza in June revealed, “At least 17,000 children are believed to be unaccompanied and separated, and approximately 4,000 children are likely missing under the rubble, with an unknown number also in mass graves."

The UN also reported discovering children’s bodies in mass graves, showing "signs of torture, summary executions, and even instances of people being buried alive."
