A Palestinian man who lost his wife and children in an Israeli airstrike on a UNRWA shelter in Gaza vowed to remain steadfast on his land, despite the unimaginable loss and ongoing violence.

Mohammad Al-Muqayed was in Jabalia when an Israeli airstrike killed his family. Overcome with grief, he still spoke to journalists, expressing unwavering determination to stay rooted in Gaza.

“We are steadfast on our land. They want to expel us from the North and from Gaza, but we will never leave,” said Al-Muqayed, his voice filled with emotion.

He told the media that his wife and three sons were targeted by Israeli forces and their bodies remained buried under the rubble. “I swear to God, we will never leave. We will not falter,” he said.

Addressing US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he cried out, “Trump and Netanyahu, my wife is burned. I swear to God, we will not give in. We will not surrender. We will not leave the land of Gaza.”

“We were raised here, and I swear to God, we will die here,” he added, clutching the clothes of his son who was killed in the airstrike.

At least 70 Palestinians have been killed in the past 24 hours as Israeli forces continue their relentless bombardment of Gaza. The death toll is expected to rise.
