Police are searching for a group of armed robbers who forced their way into a luxury watch store in central London and stole a number of high-value timepieces.
Six suspects, wearing motorcycle helmets, targeted the Bucherer boutique in Knightsbridge on Tuesday morning.
The group threatened staff and members of the public with weapons, including machetes, before carrying out the robbery.
Police said the suspects used a motorcycle to ram into the shop, later abandoning it inside the premises before fleeing on four mopeds that had been parked outside.
No injuries were reported.
Officers were called to the scene shortly before 11:00 GMT while the raid was still underway.
The Metropolitan Police’s Flying Squad has launched an investigation and is appealing for witnesses. No arrests have been made so far.
Detective Chief Inspector Scott Mather said the robbery had taken place in a busy area, causing concern among the public.
He added that officers responded within minutes and were working to trace the suspects and reconstruct their movements.
