The story of Seema Haider, the Pakistani wife of Sachin, garnered significant attention in the Indian media in 2023. She had ventured across the border with her children to marry her lover, sparking a whirlwind of headlines. Now, Seema's husband, Ghulam Haider, has taken a significant step in the pursuit of reuniting with his children.
He has engaged the services of an Indian lawyer, Malik Momin, facilitated by advocate Ansar Burney, known for his tireless efforts in child recovery through his trust based in Karachi.
In July of the preceding year, Seema, a resident of Jacobabad in Sindh, embarked on a journey to India alongside her children, having traversed through Nepal. This decision stemmed from her encounter with Sachin on PUBG, a popular mobile game, which blossomed into a profound connection.
In a revealing interview with BBC, Seema disclosed her conversion to Hinduism and her steadfast refusal to return to Pakistan, further complicating the situation.
Haider's employment in Saudi Arabia at the time of Seema's departure added another layer of complexity to the unfolding saga. Despite being thousands of miles away, he remained unaware of the developments until news of Seema's departure and subsequent actions made headlines in July. His return to Pakistan months later marked the beginning of his determined efforts to reclaim his children.
Through the transmission of Haider's power of attorney to India, facilitated by Burney, a legal pathway is being paved for Haider's endeavor to retrieve his children. This poignant saga continues to captivate attention, highlighting the intricacies of love, familial bonds, and the complexities of cross-border relationships.
