A YouTuber and activist Saleh Al-Jafarawi criticised people for sharing their joyous moments on social media while turning a blind eye to the suffering of Palestinians.

Saleh Al-Jafarawi, who is also a singer currently residing in Gaza, documents the genocide and oppression faced by Palestinians on his social media accounts.

Earlier, a video of Saleh went viral on social media, capturing him comforting a baby who survived an Israeli attack.

He regularly shares daily updates and impactful content on his Instagram, depicting the widespread death and destruction in Gaza.

Recently, Saleh took to Instagram to call out the lack of empathy among people who continue to post about their amusement while Palestinians document their own genocide on social media, without remorse or action from the world.

“It seems that the world has returned and people are fed up and have stopped interacting or being affected as before,” he said.

“Unfortunately, we in Gaza are not used to this and will not get used to what is happening to us,” he continued.

“Stop acting as if everything is fine and life has returned to normal. Stop posting your joys and daily life on social media. Stop posting your daily life in the restaurants, parties and cafes that you go to every day. Stop posting news of all kinds of food and drinks in the world. Respect that there are people in Gaza like you who cannot find food and die every day and lose their families and loved ones every hour,” Saleh Al-Jafarawi's post read.

He further added that while people express empathy in the comments on his posts when he checks their profiles, he finds them "dancing and singing at parties."

The overall Palestinian death toll since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza has reached at least 40,435, with 93,534 wounded. Thousands more remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
