US President Donald Trump has said that Iran wants to engage in dialogue and that the United States is also prepared for talks.
In a statement, Trump said a large force was being dispatched towards Iran.
He added that US military assets were being moved to the Middle East and that Washington would work together with NATO to strengthen security in Greenland.
The US president further announced that he would visit China in April, while the Chinese president is expected to travel to the United States later this year.
Trump also said that Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin both want to reach an agreement, adding that it would soon become clear what course events would take.
Meanwhile, the United States has deployed a significant military force towards Iran, including warships and aircraft.
Speaking to journalists aboard Air Force One, President Trump said that a large US force was heading towards Iran, with several ships moving in that direction.
He stated that forces were being deployed near Iran as a precautionary measure, adding: “We will see what happens next.”
Trump said the United States was closely monitoring Iran, claiming that Tehran had previously been warned of action if executions were carried out. He added that Iran cancelled executions following his warning.
The US president made it clear that the military movement does not necessarily mean that the United States will launch military action.
According to foreign media reports, citing US officials, a carrier strike group and other military units have already been dispatched to the Middle East.
These include the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, along with other warships and combat aircraft.
