Trump warns of renewed Israeli offensive in Gaza if Hamas fails to honour truce terms

U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that if Hamas fails to comply with the terms of the ceasefire agreement, he will authorize Israel to resume military operations in Gaza.

In an interview with CNN, President Trump said that Hamas has so far failed to return most of the bodies of 28 hostages.

Sending a clear message to Hamas to uphold the agreement, Trump cautioned that the Israeli military would be back on the streets and alleys of Gaza the moment he gives the order — and that if Israel chooses, it can teach Hamas a strong lesson.

Trump added that his Gaza peace plan enjoys broad international support, though he had to persuade Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to agree to the truce.

He further claimed that Iran is “no longer a problem” and asserted that several countries are now eager to join the Abraham Accords.
