Prime Minister of Belgium, Bart De Wever returned home from the NATO summit in Turkey on Wednesday and was surprised to learn that he had received a revolver and bullets in the bag.

Following the controversial summit of NATO member states in Ankara on Wednesday, their host  Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan decided to present each of them with an interesting keepsake: a vintage revolver, complete with live ammunition that demonstrated its operational capability.

He was eager to promote the country's defense industry, which is now a major export item and diplomatic asset.

Pictures uploaded by the president of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda's office indicated that it looked like the Gumusay revolver .357 Magnum, which was very rare gun and was made in the 1990s by Turkish arms manufacturer MKE company.

It came with a wooden case decorated with the flags of both Turkey and NATO, as well as an inscribed sign: "Gumusay, the first revolver-type handgun produced in our country," both in Turkish and English languages.

According to Spanish Prime Minister's Pedro Sanchez spokesman, all the heads of state were given the same gun and it was individually engraved with their names on the barrel.
